Oravital Fresh Breath Treatment

What we do will take your breath away

If you have persistent bad breath, bad taste, and/or periodontal problems like gum disease, we have good news for you - these are treatable oral conditions.

Dawson offers an individualized treatment program. Our treatment has helped thousands of people start new lives after years - or even a lifetime - of living with chronic bad breath or periodontal problems.

1. Identify Cause of Infection

Comprehensive microbiology report. Samples of bacteria from the tongue, throat and teeth are sent to a microbiology laboratory to identify the types, locations and levels of the oral bacteria. This comprehensive report guides the treatment and maintenance for each individual. An increase in gram-negative bacteria indicates that the individual is at risk for oral infection.

Detailed assessment. A detailed assessment of contributing factors identifies the cause of the infection. Another important factor is diet – for example, insufficient Vitamin C and antioxidants may contribute to bleeding gums.

2. Treat

Individualized treatment over a period of six weeks. Treatment consists of targeting specific bacteria and amoeba causing the infection. Our topical antibiotic rinses are used short term to reduce the pathogens and restore microbial balance in the mouth. Guided by the microbiology reports, these rinses are selected to achieve an optimal healthy balance of oral bacteria. The microbiology assessment is repeated to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment and to guide the maintenance selection for each client to achieve long term stability.

3. Maintain

The microbiology reports and healing response of the client guide the selection of daily mouthwashes to maintain a healthy microbial balance. Good oral hygiene and regular dental hygiene care, along with awareness of contributing factors in each individual will support a stable healthy mouth.
