Our Team

	Tara M - Registered Dental Hygienist Tara is a graduate of Niagara college where she received her Dental Hygiene Diploma. She graduated in 2000 and has been a proud member the Dawson Dental team for 9 years! In 2009, Tara was the recipient of the Dawson Dental Hygienist of the Year Award. She takes pride in helping her patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. In her spare time she enjoys Beach Volleyball, Golf and Running. Her most recent accomplishment is completing her first marathon in the fall of 2009!
	Tina - Registered Dental Hygienist Tina graduated, with honours, from the Dental Hygiene program at George Brown College in 1997. She was the first full time Registered Dental Hygienist at the original Dawson Dental location in North Guelph and received an award from Dr. Gelfand, for a decade of service, in 2008. She has been instrumental in creating a comprehensive dental hygiene program for our patients, along with assisting in the construction of many policies and procedures followed in the office today. Tina is known for her dedication and strong work ethic, yet keeps her team members amused with her frank humour and playfulness. “Between the great patients and fabulous team members, I am lucky to be able to work with so many people that I am proud to also call my friends.”
	Antonella - Level 2 Dental Assistant I graduated from CDI College in 2006 as a Level 2 Dental Assistant. I started working at Dawson Dental North in January 2007. I started as a float and worked up to a full-time assistant. I also work with our Oral Surgeon, Dr. Barkin. I've worked beside our Peridontist, Dr. Jaffer and several other fine general dentists, including our very own Dr. Gelfand. I'm Lovin' it! 	Sabrina - Dental Assistant Sabrina graduated in 1993 from Career Canada College as a certified dental assistant. I was a dental assistant for many years and now I'm a Patient Care Coordinator at Dawson Dental Centre. I am married with 2 children- I enjoy spending quality time with my family and having fun with the new adventures life brings. “Be the best you can be, never give up!”
	Ruth - Dental Assistant Ruth went to school at Medix for dental assisting. After completing here placement at Dawson Dental she was hired on full time and has now been apart of the team for 2 years. When not at work, Ruth loves to watch movies with her kids and go for walks. She also loves to practice her new hobby “shopping”.
	Laurie - Dental Assistant Laurie graduated from dental assisting in 1997 and has been with Dawson for 5 years. Laurie is passionate about her patients and making sure that she gives them the WOW factor!!!
	Tara - Regional Leader Tara has been in the dental profession for eleven year. She started in dental part time in the evenings, as she was going to school for business. Tara started with Dawson Dental in 2004 and has had so many great experiences with patients and team members during this time. When not at work Tara enjoys spending time with family, traveling and spending summers at her trailer in Mount Forest.

	Shannon - Office Manager Shannon joined the Dawson Team in November of 2003. Through her journey she went from Hygiene Coordinator to a Schedule Manager to Assistant Manager, and now Office Manager. With her warmth and genuine personality she is always smiling. She is very caring and passionate of what she does and is a great team leader.
	Tammy - Patient Care Coordinator Tammy graduated in 2007 from CDI College from Dental intra-oral Assistant level II. She joined our team at Dawson Dental in September 2010. Tammy enjoys spending time with her family and friends in her spare time. She also loves to make people smile with her great since of humor.

	Sarah - Registered Dental Hygienist Sarah graduated, with honours, from the dental hygiene program at George Brown College in 2009. She also gradutaed from the University of Guelph in 2005 in the Honours arts program. Upon graduating from George Brown Sarah received awards for dedication to oral health projects and for dedication to the social well being of the graduating class. She joined our team at Dawson Dental in January 2010. In her spare time Sarah enjoys riding her horse, snowboarding and running.
	Kim - Patient Care Coordinator "The world always looks brighter from behind a smile." Kim graduated from George Brown College as a Level 2 Dental Assistant and has enjoyed working at Dawson Dental ever since. She has enjoyed racing motocross since the age of 7. Her greatest accomplishment was earning the national number 7 plate in the Canadian Women's Motocross National Series. Kim also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
